Roasted Channa Laddoo

This is also called putani laddoo (Putani is roasted channa in kannada). This is a very quick laddoo recipe, when you have surprise guests to entertain or you need to visit a friend and want to take a dish with you.


  • Putani (roasted channa) – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1/4 cup
  • Elaichi (Green cardamom)- 5-6
  • Cashews – 10


In a tadka spoon, add a little ghee and fry cashew pieces till golden brown. Transfer to a plate and allow to cool.

In a mixer, take Putani or roasted channa and sugar and grind it to a fine powder. Also powder the Elaichi.

In a mixing bowl take the powdered sugar and putani, elaichi powder, ghee and fried cashews and mix well.

The ghee will allow to combine the powders and you will be able to make laddoos.
