No Oven? Dont eat egg? But craving for a cake? Here is your answer! Walnut biscuit cake is no bake, no egg recipe. This is our family favourite for birthdays.
- Digestive biscuits – 800g
- Sugar – 200g
- Cocoa powder – 60g
- Water – 240ml
- Butter – 150g
- Walnuts 2 fistful
- Vanilla extract – 2Tsp
- Whipping cream – 120g
- Bitter chocolate – 120g
Boil water in a saucepan. Add sugar, cocoa powder and butter on a medium flame for 8 minutes. Keep stirring.
Cool the mixture for 15 minutes. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
Break the biscuits into pieces. 1 digestive biscuit can be broken into 9 pieces, to give a rough idea of size of biscuit pieces. Take it in a mixing bowl. Break the roasted walnuts with your fingers and add to the mixing bowl. Mix both well.
Now pour the above prepared mixture to the biscuit pieces. Mix well until everything is combined.
Take a baking tray and transfer the contents into the tray and pat well. Press it with the back of the spoon until a smooth texture is formed. Refrigerate atleast for an hour.
Meanwhile prepare the ganashe – Take the bitter chocolate is a bowl. Heat the whipping cream and pour the hot cream on the chocolate and mix well.
Take the cake out of fridge and remove the outer tray. Pour the ganashe on the cake and garnish the rim of the cake with walnut pieces.
Refrigerate for 4 hours and enjoy the yummy cake!
