I usually do this dosa when there are ignored ripe bananas at home and there is no dosa batter and need to fix a quick breakfast.
- Bananas – 4 or 5
- Semolina coarse – 1.5 cups
- Maida – 1 cup
- Rice flour – 0.5 cup
- Green chillies – 4 or 5
- Curry leaves – 1 strand
- Jeera – 1 Tbsp
- Coconut – 5 Tbsp
In a small mixy jar, take coconut, green chillies, curry leaves and jeera. Add a little water and blend to a coarse mixture.
Peel the bananas and mash them with hand or a fork. Mashing the bananas this way will give a nice texture to the dosa.
Mix the mashed bananas and mixy contents and salt. Now add semolina (rawa), maida and rice flour to it and mix well without having any lumps.
Optional – add sugar if you like a sweeter taste.
Heat the tawa and spread the batter on the tawa like Uttappa. Cover the lid on the tawa. Once the dosa is cooked, flip the dosa to the other side till golden brown.
Enjoy the dosa with chutney of your choice!
