This chutney pudi is my favourite and goes well with dosas and rottis. Also goes amazingly well with rice and ghee.
- Chana dal – 1 glass
- Urad dal – 1 glass
- Red chilles – 15
- Dry coconut – 1 glass
- Sugar – Tsp
- Garlic – 30 pods
- Mustard seeds
Dry fry Chana dal, urad dal and red chillies. Finely grind the mixture. Dont make it too powdery, though.
Also coarsely grind dry coconut and sugar and mix both powders.
Take oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds sputter, add chopped garlic and fry well. Now add this to the above mixture and add salt. Mix very well and your churney pudi is ready.
You can store it for months in an air tight jar.
